This was my first time going to a drive-in movie so I didn’t know what to expect. Their website recommends that you arrive an hour before your show to avoid long wait times.
Once you get through the entrance line, you will be told which direction to follow for your movie screen. If you get there early, you can pick a good spot. You will see evenly spaced posts. Park close to a post so another car can fit along side you (friendly staff had to correct me since I accidentally hogged the space in the middle). The screen will clearly tell you what radio station to tune into.
The outdoor pavilion area has plenty of seating. The food and drink menu is a bit pricey for certain items, but it’s similar to other movie theatre’s prices, and I understand this is how they need to make money. In case you need to go before the movie, there are bathrooms. To help pass time, there is one table set up for playing video games like Mario Kart, or you can sit by the fire pits. There is also a playground for kids.
During the movie, I kept my car engine off with the radio on, but my radio turned off after 30 minutes so I also feel bad for having to restart my car quickly with the lights turning on for a few seconds just so the radio would start again. In the future, I’ll consider getting a portable radio that I can bring to make things easier. I had a pleasant experience and look forward to coming back.
