It’s not what you remember from your childhood. Seems like there is much less to see and do. No shortage of crowds on Thursdays. It’s ok if your kids are young. Very basic interactive activities. Roll the ball down a small table. Play with the blocks. Magnetic blocks. Glow in the dark blocks. Make a paper air plane. Massive boring exhibits upstairs with almost nothing to look at and nothing to hold your interest. Same exhibits for several years now. They even removed the bubbles outside in the courtyard recently. No more Omni theater or planetarium. All of the cool dinosaurs from our childhood are removed or on the “school” side of the building. Not accessible to the public. Better off going to the trampoline park, it’s the same price. The toddler play shopping area is a neat concept but there are almost no toys to pretend shop. We have cooler things in our playroom at home.

IMAX is under construction. It was not the best time to visit.

We absolutely love coming to the Fort Worth museum of science and History. We have a blast every time they have so many different things to interact with and do with your children. Highly recommend

This is a fantastic option for young children and for parents looking to get out of the house without spending time outdoors. There are plenty of fun, scientific exhibits that engages the minds of the kids. The playground is a fun place to expel extra energy and to eat a lunch you packed yourself.

Family membership is a great option to save money and for discounted parking. I would highly recommend if parents are looking for something to entertain their children with beyond a screen.

I was actually impressed with this museum! I have always been a big advocate for the Perot museum but we decided to give this museum a try. We went on Monday of spring break and it wasn’t crowded at all! It made it very enjoyable. I was impressed with quite a few of the exhibits. There seemed to be a pretty good balance of things to do in the exhibits for the kids while still interesting for adults doing the reading. The only thing I was disappointed about was the amount of things that were broken within the exhibits. For example, all the buttons in the cattle exhibit that the kids could push to hear shorter summarized versions of the information and see some cool animated shadow movements were broken, one of the main activities in the energy blast exhibit that was a simulation to drive one of the trucks was broken, the 4D theater was broken in the sense there was no 3D or 4D elements making it just a 2D movie, etc. I think if a lot of these items were fixed it would be so much more enjoyable! Still fun, but kind of disappointing. Some of our favorites were the planetarium, innovative section, cattle exhibit, the energy blast, Dino dig, and dinosaur exhibit. The aviation part was pretty cool but not so much fun for the kids. Can’t wait for the new Omni theater to open later this year!

This place has gotten so much better over the years. There are active members of the team who help engage the kids, they keep the area clean, and even have separate STEM projects for the kids. I went on my son's field trip and we really enjoyed it. To top it off, they have a Chick-fil-a in the building. The place looks beautiful and very educational yet interactive. I can't wait for the IMAX to finally be remodeled in the future because I plan on taking my son asap.
