I got into pottery and decided to learn, like most people, through watching hundreds of YouTube videos. After a couple of months, I wanted to level up my skills so decided to take a group class to learn the foundations hands on. It helped me tremendously! Wendy is an amazing instructor and learning some of the basic techniques from her (like making handles for mugs, and learning how to measure and properly trim pieces) has made me a better potter and love the craft even more. The memberships that Garrett offers also opened the doors to using equipment that may deter a lot of people from even trying pottery. I didn’t have to shell out thousands of dollars for a new wheel and kiln just to see if it was something I really wanted to do. The pottery is also a great place to spend time with other like-minded people of all levels in their pottery journey.

It’s clear that Garret has a passion for sharing the world of pottery with those that want to try their hand at the craft. His understanding of the practice is reflected in his intentional and easy to follow instruction. The studio is calm, laidback, and perfect for getting into your own zone/groove. A very enjoyable time that I would highly recommend for anyone to experience. And, you get to support a local business and group of really good people to boot.

I had the best time with my fiance doing a private first time lesson! Garret was a wonderful host and instructor, I can't recommend these lessons enough! We made 2 items each and it was a really great experience. I can't wait to go back in a few weeks to glaze our pieces 😁 I hope I can make it a hobby!!

I'd always wanted to take a pottery class, and my sister gifted us sessions with Garret at his studio. It was FANTASTIC! He is patient, gives clear instructions and made the whole process so enjoyable. Can't wait to take a few more classes. Pottery class at GPP was my favorite birthday gift. My friend and I took it together and had a blast. I looked forward each week to the next class and I made sure to schedule my travel around them so I wouldn’t miss any! We’re obsessed with how these pieces turned out for our first time working with clay and glaze.

Garret is a great instructor who teaches to your skill level, wherever that may be. Open studio at GPP is next on my list👌

Garret is wonderful! My husband and I have been coming to his studio for two years now, and absolutely love learning from him. He is a gifted instructor. Once you start, you’ll never want to leave. Garret’s studio is truly the best place to hang out in Fort Worth.
