My friends and I were in the private little dining room, where they cook the pasta classes, and our service was horrible. Our server, Patrick, was rude from the start, and continued to be short and snippy through our entire service. He treated us like we were children, belittling us from the start. For how expensive the restaurant is, we were all shocked by how rude and unprofessional the server was. The manager who came by to drop the food instantly had much better energy and personality towards our group.

We all personally had moments where we were uncomfortable and anxious from how he was treating us. The food was spectacular, same with the drinks, you’re definitely getting what you’re paying for. The atmosphere, the bathrooms, everything was nice and clean, a ton of good photo spots, but we will never be back based off of the service we were provided. Other reviews have great recommendations about Patrick, however we cannot agree with that at all. Coming from the service industry, particularly fine dining, which every one of us has been in, the standards were not up to par, which is again disappointing. Even if we had caught a server on a bad day, there’s no excuse for ever taking it out on your paying customers.

Pleasantly greeted and seated at a lovely table. We had delicious drinks and enjoyed the burrata and later the meatballs. The burrata was beyond good. Entrees were risotto with sea scallops to die for and amazing pappardelle with perfect sweet peas. The Il Lago was a pretty and tasty as it sounds and oh my, to the Italian Buck. I had one other but the name escapes me. The lemon cello sorbet was a summer pool party in my mouth. Tiramisu, taken down one lick of the spoon at a time.

We were staying at the Kimpton Harper and decided to try their restaurant downstairs. At about 6:45pm on a Friday, we were able to make a 7:30 pm reservation for that night, but we showed up and received a table by 7. The service was knowledgeable and friendly. We also went back the next morning for breakfast and had another great experience.

Went here for brunch during our stay at the kimpton Harper Hotel. Food was excellent. We got the breakfast sandwich and short rib hash. Both were full of flavor. The short rib meat was also very tender!

Had an amazing experience here! Started with the beetroot salad which was perfectly complimented by the crunchy kale in it. For the main course it was the wild mushroom fettuccine which was really light, not over the top perfectly cooked! My friend had the bone marrow appetizer and loved it too. For dessert we had the pistachio cream cake, which was unbelievably light, and the exact amount of sweet. Would love to visit again, special thanks to the Bartender who helped us in selecting dishes. Kudos for the quick service and seating!

Believe the reviews. This place is almost perfect.
Where it lacks is the wait times and that can ruin it for anyone.
Food tastes phenomenal. Staff is very friendly.
A table for two should not take 2+ hours for them to eat/ drink (dinner) and at any given time there should be no empty glasses of (cocktails/ beverages) especially if the food is taking a long time to come out.
It definitely seemed like the manager was concerned and apologetic about the delays but it seems like it’s a pattern here (reading other reviews) so how do you fix it?
We will go back and dine some more. Again the food was amazing. Some of the best tasting food we have had in Fort Worth and that says a lot because we eat lots of places.

How does iL Modo fix the inconsistencies to make this a destination?
I will try again to see what they come up with!
