My husband and I celebrated our 15 year anniversary at Katei this past August and it was an experience I will never forget. From the moment we walked through the doors the hostess made us feel special. This was my first experience with Omakase style of eating and I truly enjoyed literally every bite! The chef and his team were awesome and made us feel like we were just having an every day conversation at a fancy kitchen table eating exquisite food. Thank you Katei for my orchids that are still alive over a month later and thank you for an experience I truly will never forget. We will be back:)

My boyfriend and I had a special night here celebrating his birthday. This was our first time doing omakase so we didn’t know what to expect. The venue offers 3 hour complimentary valet which was amazing! We got there a little early and were told to order a drink and have a seat in the VIP area while we waited for the rest of the party. It wasn’t clear if the two restaurants were together or separate and should be clarified. The first lounge area had great vibes and we loved the atmosphere. We both wanted cocktails but they don’t have a cocktail menu and are limited on what they will make. We both agreed the espresso martini and an old fashion with a twist were great. I like a cocktail for a fancy night out, but they had lots of wine and sake options if you prefer those. I like wine but the single glass was more then most steakhouses. We were asked if we wanted to elevate our meal with caviar and truffles but we declined since it would be another $100 per person. That’s being said we really enjoyed the sushi experience without the add ons! Would recommend for the special occasion and love the vibes. Bathrooms were nice too.

Katei is not just dinner, it is an experience. I absolutely loved the Japanese- Latin Omakase Experience. It felt like a speakeasy vibe as you went up an elevator and through a hallway to get to your destination. We started off with some canapés and had the best oyster I have ever had! The 20 course meal paired with sake was one for the books. All the pieces were unique in their own way. Each piece melted in my mouth. Chef Cris and his team are so knowledgeable and I loved hearing all of the information behind the sushi and how they tie in the Latin roots to it. They only have 10 seats so book your experience today. I cannot wait to go back!

The blend of traditional Japanese techniques with Texas and Mexican influences is creative without losing authenticity. Every bite was beautifully prepared, thoughtfully explained, and absolutely delicious. We had an incredible experience at Katei Omakase in Fort Worth! I took my mom for dinner, and it was such a special evening. The fish was unbelievably fresh and absolutely delicious. Every course was beautifully prepared, and the sake pairing was excellent. Our bartender was amazing, friendly, attentive, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for the best omakase in Fort Worth, with fresh sushi, premium fish, exceptional sake, and outstanding service, I highly recommend Katei Omakase. Fantastic omakase spot in Dallas. The quality of the fish was outstanding, and the seasonal Japanese menu felt very thoughtful and intentional. My visit to Katei was simply extraordinary. From the very first moment, the experience feels thoughtfully designed. Upon entering the first lounge, the attention is immediate and warm. The hostess and the beverage expert welcome you with a level of hospitality that truly makes you feel like the star of the evening. In the second lounge, the canapé service begins and each bite is perfectly curated and memorable. One particular moment stood out to me when I tasted the canapé featuring nopal. As a Mexican, it unexpectedly sparked a feeling of nostalgia and pride that made the experience even more special. Once you move into the main room, the journey reaches another level. The nigiri selection is a true delight for the palate. Beyond the remarkable flavors, it is captivating to witness the precision, care, and artistry behind each piece. The explanations about the origin of the ingredients add an immersive dimension that enriches the entire experience. I was especially impressed to learn that some elements are sourced from local suppliers, a meaningful gesture that reflects a genuine connection to the community. I highly recommend choosing the wine flight. The pairings are exceptionally well thought out and the sommelier enhances the experience by clearly and passionately explaining the background and character of each wine. Our group left completely satisfied, not only because of the outstanding cuisine but because of the feeling of having experienced something truly unique. Special recognition to the owner for bringing a concept of this caliber to the Dallas Fort Worth area. Experiences like this add a cosmopolitan energy and elevate the local culinary scene. An experience worthy of applause.
