I really wanted to like this place, but apparently the restaurant had other plans. First off, the “bartender” looked like our presence was a personal inconvenience. The margaritas were so sweet I wasn’t sure if I ordered a cocktail or dessert. And sangria to balance out the sweetness? Not an option. Then came the food. Somehow, they managed to run out of BOTH queso and rice a full TWO HOURS before closing. At a Mexican restaurant. That’s like McDonald’s running out of fries before dinner. Oh but don't worry, you can substitute rice with fries. And apparently, limes were on the endangered species list because there weren’t any for the tacos OR the elotes. No salsa for the corn in a cup either. At this point, I was starting to wonder if we showed up during an unofficial going-out-of-business sale where half the ingredients had already been auctioned off. As for the food we actually got? Bland. I’ve had more excitement from a saltine cracker. The tacos were begging for some flavor, the elotes needed some love, and the kitchen apparently decided seasoning was optional. The one shining star of the entire experience was the red/orange salsa. Whoever made that deserves a raise, a promotion, and possibly their own restaurant. That salsa was carrying the entire establishment on its back! Come for the salsa, lower your expectations for everything else, and maybe bring your own rice, limes, queso, and seasoning. At this point, the only thing they didn’t run out of was disappointment.

The service was incredible and the food was a new level of too tier. Drinks were delicious and the bartender was amazing. That young man will go far. His concoctions he was making and just me testing was incredible!

Tacos were OK nothing amazing, nothing worth coming back for at all. Portions were small considering the price per taco. Our kids chicken tenders were WAY more memorable than the tacos. SIDE NOTE- as a mom with a baby in diapers PLEASE get a diaper changing table in the restroom.

Is it super authentic? No. Is it still tasty? Hell yes. Great after having a few drinks. Vibe is a party atmosphere, but the patio is chill.

Alyssa the bartender was very sweet to me and my girl. Food was on point and the music wasn't too loud. Great atmosphere. I got the Quesa Birria with Elote and she got steak street tacos. Very delicious 😋

I’m a regular at Buena Vida, and it’s the best Mexican food in DFW. The food is always great, the atmosphere is amazing, and Eric is the best, he always takes great care of me and my friends and makes every visit feel welcoming. Caelin and Chloe are great bartenders and always do an amazing job. I highly recommend Buena Vida.

Meh 😐Happy hour margaritas were a decent price, but made from a too-sweet pre-fab mix. Tacos were bland and forgettable- the carne asada was mostly gristle.

This place is so small it gets crowded and seating is limited. There are two lines, one to order food and drinks. If you order an alcoholic drink you have to go to the line at the bar to get your drink. I didn't like having to stand at two long lines. The food was meh, not really mexican food, it's a twist on mexican food. I had a mango margarita and it was so thick, because of the mago puree, it was almost a smoothie. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again, especially in the evening on weekends.

Met up with some girlfriends here. The atmosphere is so cute! $5 happy hour margaritas were good. The birria pizza was my favorite 🤤 it's worth checking out!

This is a new place in a really good spot. Views are awesome. Outdoor seating was nice. It feels like they have yet to figure everything out. The food tasted great. Portions are small. Bar was slow. Order more than you think you want otherwise you will go back to the line. And yes, its a line at a counter to order food... not full service. Drinks were pricey and not very strong. Guacamole and chips was great! Tacos were too light.

I have never heard of this place. A quick google search brought me and my peers to this tacos place! Upon entering it was an awesome atmosphere with music playing and plenty of seating available both indoors and outdoors! The prices for the food were a bit pricey however the food was very delicious! I got tacos and they were definitely a go to! I definitely must say you got to try it out, however be prepared to pay a pretty penny!

Right when you walk in you catch vibes with the open design of space and casual bench seating. Toppled with Hispanic music filling your ears you are sure to enjoy your experience. I think it’s a great space to hang out for lunch or dinner or better yet a chill date. The tacos were pretty good but nothing amazing unfortunately, however the random French fries definitely hit the spot. They also have a daily special which is a nice! Prices are decent and the portions for the tacos are okay.

I love the restaurant's open design and patio seating. It's a fantastic place to hang out for lunch or dinner. Their tacos are my absolute favorite, especially the pizza taco and the 72-hour ribs taco. They are simply amazing! And the magonada alcohol beverage is so addicting!
